CHRISTMAS 2009

With Carolyn, Brandt, Tom and Joe departing Melbourne on Dec 23 for a month in Italy and France, Julie, Justin, Georgina and Susannah at Peterborough before departing early January for an unspecified period in Hong Kong, (Justin having taken up a posting with the ANZ Bank), Lyn and I were happily able to spend an enjoyable Christmas and a few additional days in Sydney with Anthony, Megan, Nicolas and Timothy, who had only days earlier returned from holidays in Lorne.

We had intended on going on to Canberra for the Art Exhibition, but as both of us were showing signs of coming down with "something", decided against it in favour of a time in the New Year when school holidays were over.

As we had not got over the bug that we had picked up, New Years Eve was decidely quieter than previous years.  The rain that came with the late evening storm was more than welcome, as was the drop in temperature from 38 degrees.

We are looking after Ruby, (Carolyn's dog), while they are away and enjoying the time spent with her.

We look forward to a healthy and happy 2010 and extend our best wishes to you all in this regard.

Lyn and Alan
